INSPIRE SPRAY COAT: SPECIALIST TECHNICIANS SINCE 2013
Expert Spray Painters.
Real London Experience.
Our lead technicians have been spray painting uPVC windows, doors and surfaces in London since 2013. Unlike many contractors who subcontract to generalist painters, every Inspire Spray Coat job is completed by our own trained specialists, people who spray uPVC surfaces day in, day out and understand how the material behaves through seasonal thermal change.
We’ve transformed Victorian terraces in Islington, period townhouses in Notting Hill, modern apartment blocks in Canary Wharf, and commercial estates across Croydon and Bromley. When a client in Shoreditch needed their faded cream windows converted to Anthracite Grey RAL 7016, the job was completed in a single day and the result genuinely looked factory-fitted, the exact standard we hold ourselves to on every job.
Each technician is trained on our 6-step process, tested on adhesion primer application, and certified before working on client properties. No shortcuts, no subcontractors, no surprises.

Ideal for rental properties and quick turnarounds
Anthracite grey takes its name from anthracite coal — the hardest and purest form of coal, characterised by its deep, near-black tone with faint warm or cool undertones depending on the light. In the RAL colour system, RAL 7016 is the official reference for anthracite grey, placing it at the darker end of the grey spectrum without tipping into true black. It is a nuanced shade — sophisticated, architectural, and remarkably adaptable — which goes a long way to explaining why it has become the most requested colour for uPVC windows and doors across the UK property market over the past decade.
The appeal of anthracite grey on uPVC is rooted in its visual versatility. On a modern new-build with clean lines and large glazing, RAL 7016 frames look sleek and considered, complementing dark composite cladding or render beautifully. On a period property — Victorian terraces, Edwardian semis, or Georgian town houses — the depth of the shade adds a sense of heritage gravitas without the harshness of jet black, working particularly well alongside brick, stone, or painted render. Homeowners frequently describe the result as transformative: frames that once looked plasticky and dated suddenly appear architectural and intentional.
Compared to similar shades, anthracite grey occupies a distinctive position. It is noticeably darker and more authoritative than mid-greys such as Mouse Grey (RAL 7005) or Slate Grey (RAL 7015), yet retains more warmth and depth than Graphite Black (RAL 9011). It is often the choice for clients who want strong visual contrast against light masonry without committing to a full black finish. It pairs exceptionally well with white or off-white walls, natural stone, pale render, and warm timber accents — making it one of the few shades that works on virtually every UK property type.

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything You Need to Know
Still have a question? Call or WhatsApp us on +44 20 8050 8956.
How long does a sprayed uPVC finish last?
Every job includes a 10-year written guarantee. The written guarantee sets out the coverage and any conditions. Proper surface preparation and primer are part of the application process.
Can you spray paint any colour, including heritage and bespoke shades?
Yes. The catalogue includes RAL Classic, British Standard and Farrow & Ball matched shades, as well as custom and bespoke matching. You can provide a colour code, chip, fabric, tile, photograph or other physical sample. A test swatch is available for approval before full application.
How much disruption should I expect?
Work is completed on site and windows or doors are not removed. The service is described as zero disruption; individual frames may need to remain masked and unused until the coating is dry, so agree access with the team before work starts.
Is spray painting suitable for conservation areas or listed buildings?
In England, minor repainting of window and door frames usually does not need planning permission. Article 4 directions, listed-building status and other local restrictions can change this; check with your local planning authority before work. Rules elsewhere in the UK may differ.
Do you provide quotes for multiple services in one visit?
Yes. List the surfaces or services you want included in your enquiry, and we can quote them together. The free written quote is provided within 24 hours.
What surfaces can you spray paint?
The page lists windows, doors, conservatories, garage doors, fascias and soffits, kitchen cabinets, exterior surfaces, cladding and shop fronts. Tell us which surfaces you have in mind so we can confirm suitability in your quote.
